Deployteq is a Netherlands-based platform and leader in marketing automation that specializes in personalized and data-driven, omnichannel marketing campaigns, helping brands create tailored experiences for their audiences. In collaboration with its official partner in the Portuguese market, JMR Digital, Deployteq saw this event as the perfect opportunity to showcase its commitment to personalization and customer engagement through a unique, live brand activation initiative.
Deployteq and JMR partnered with the renowned Portuguese artist and illustrator Leonor Violeta, known for her expertise in live event art and personalization, to create a truly immersive and engaging experience at APPM’s National Marketing Congress.
With the 2025 Congress theme being “T of Transformation,” the concept for our brand activation was almost a no-brainer: “Turn Creativity into Connection.”. This concept was simple, impactful, and more than just an artistic experience—it symbolized the essence of Deployteq’s commitment to hyper-personalization, while perfectly encapsulating its mission to turn creativity into meaningful brand and client connections.
The goal was to create an interactive experience that would resonate with attendees while emphasizing the connection between creativity, personalization, and marketing automation, and set the tone for this new sponsorship.
The activation took place over two days in Porto and Lisbon, ensuring broad exposure to key industry professionals.
Based on our briefing, Leonor created a group of shapes that, despite being completely different among themselves (a heart, a square, a circle, an arch, straight lines, and bold stripes), could also be combined into a plethora of different compositions. During the event, in her stand, Leonor placed six cards with the previously drawn shapes. Each attendee would receive a plain notebook branded with both Deployteq and JMR logos, along with the slogan “Turn Creativity into Connection”. Leonor would then personalize each notebook on the spot with two of her custom illustrations—chosen by each person—turning each piece into a one-of-a-kind keepsake. was invited to choose two out of the six proposed shapes, write down their name and email address, and hand the blank notebook to one of our team members, with some guests taking the extra step of requesting a specific name to be featured on the notebook cover or providing a more complete briefing such as “A notebook inspired by the city of Lisbon” or even “How would dyslexia look like if represented by such and such shape?”.
Leonor would then take the notebook herself and, based on the chosen shapes and provided briefings, create a unique and personalized composition for every notebook. Once complete, our team would then digitize each piece and insert it into a database to match it with the corresponding email address of the person who requested it (you will understand why in just a second).
At the end of the event, guests were invited to pick up their notebooks and discover their personalized illustrations. More than 200 notebooks were customized live over the two event days, giving each attendee a unique, memorable brand experience and a stream of wonderful reactions.
However, this experience was not over just yet! Thanks to the generated database and the onsite digitalization of the notebooks, our team was able to take this experience to the next level. Over the next few days, all guests who had chosen to leave their email addresses would receive a very special gift: the digital version of their personalized cover art. Not only would this email allow guests to receive this digital version of their notebook and maybe even print it and use it as a piece of decor for their home or workspace, but it would also serve as an introduction to Deployteq’s marketing automation services, giving people the opportunity to book a meeting/demo with Deployteq itself to discover the world of digital solutions the company has to offer.
